Our technical partner, FCT-NOVA participated last summer 2022 in the 20th European Congress on Fluorine Chemistry (ESFC), held in Berlin and hosted by the Humboldt-Universität. In this conference, that took place from 14th to 18th August, NOVA delivered an invited talk entitled “Mitigation of the environment impact of fluorinated gases using key enabling technologies”, as well as an oral presentation entitled “Reclamation of R32 from refrigerant blends and complex waste mixtures by adsorption processes. Additionally, NOVA also presented 2 posters addressing different alternatives for the separation and recovery of fluorinated gases. By these communications, NOVA was able to remark the potential of the hybrid technology proposed in the framework of the LIFE-4-Fgases project (the HAMSYS process) for the reclamation of refrigerant blends.
