From 3 to 8 August, Lisbon hosted the 21st European Symposium on Fluorine Chemistry, an international benchmark event that brought together more than 300 participants. The meeting was an excellent opportunity to give visibility to the LIFE4Fgases project, disseminate its results, and celebrate its final event.
The project partners played a very active role in the symposium, contributing to different activities:

Dedicated congress session focused on the project

Participation in a round table

Organisation of children’s science outreach activities

Communication stands of the project and its partners
In addition, each partner contributed with specific actions:
- APRIA: oral presentation, stand, participation in the European funding programmes event, and 2 dissemination posters of the project.
- UC: 2 oral presentations and 1 dissemination poster of the project.
- FCT NOVA: overall congress coordination, 2 oral presentations, and organisation of children’s activities.
- Ambigroup: participation in the round table.
- ERP: oral presentation, organisation of the video contest, and communication stand.
The project also collaborated with other initiatives, such as Mar2Protect and AlertPFAS, developing joint actions to maximize the visibility and impact of the dedicated sessions.
Overall, participation in this symposium was a unique opportunity to share knowledge, foster synergies, and highlight the achievements of LIFE4Fgases.
